FAQs

What is the Athletic Booster Club?

The Randolph Raiders Booster Club helps support the Athletic Department and promotes school spirit at Randolph.  Annually, we are proud to have nearly 200 athletes participate on 13 school teams and 1 club team including: Baseball, Girls & Boys Basketball, Fall & Winter Cheerleading, Football, Golf, Girls & Boys Soccer, Softball, Volleyball, Girls & Boys Track and Field Hockey.

Athletics aligns closely with IB principles by encouraging students to exercise leadership, time management, responsibility, and teamwork while engaging in a healthy lifestyle.  We are proud of our Raider Athletes, and we want them to learn the skills that will help them succeed, not just on the field, but in the classroom, at home, and in the community.

Why do we need a Booster Club?  We already pay to play!

The majority of athletic participation fees are used at the district level to cover transportation/officiating costs and are never actually available to be spent at Randolph.  The RMS Athletic Department operates on a very limited budget provided by CMS.  These funds are spent on uniforms; annual football helmet reconditioning and purchasing; and game supplies, such as balls, nets, field paint, and medical supplies.

Every other need must be met through fundraising and donations.

Who benefits from the Booster Club?

All RMS athletes!  The Booster Club fills the gap between the budget the school receives from CMS and what our actual needs are.  This spending has ranged from the construction of our lower practice field, to the purchasing uniforms and equipment, to purchase of team apparel for our athletes (hoodies, warm-ups, championship t-shirts, etc.).  Without the Booster Club's support, many of these  very necessary "extras" simply could not have been afforded.

How does the Booster Club raise its funds?

The Booster Club raises funds through direct donations, concessions sales, and other fundraising opportunities.
